Artist Statement for Pam Serra-Wenz
My paintings embody movement and color intensity. Sometimes I dream about my art. The results of my dreams are reflected in some of my abstract paintings.
Being an artist provides the ability to immerse myself in hours of play and creativity. It allows me to share my dreams with others. I enjoy sharing my experiences and techniques with fellow and future artists. It is also an opportunity to grow and develop a skill that flows with the richness of life. These are my goals as an artist.

After working for more than 25 years and raising two wonderful children - I retired at 49 years old! Now what??? I could have continued building my skills in architecture and engineering or become the artist that I've always wanted to be. I took the opportunity to embrace the profession that I passionately wanted. The artist won!
